Nintendo reveals new Super Mario for 3DS
The inevitability becomes a reality
We predicted it early this yearand today at GDC, Nintendo’s President Satoru Iwata made it official: the 3DS is getting a fully 3D, original Mario game. I don’t want to sound biased, but F**K YEAH!
Iwata was short on details. He mentionedit is being worked on by the Mario Galaxy team (double f**k yeah), and then showed a few screens and the above logo. He said the logo istemporary, and then hinted that the mysterious, shadowytail’s importance will be revealed at E3. Mario fans will note that the tail is similar to the one in the Mario 3 logo, so can the Raccoon suit’s return be far behind?
We are awash in the glow of this new Mario info, but are left with a million questions. Will it be out this year? How many players will it be? Will it be playable at E3? Can raccoons really fly? What questions do you have in the wake of this new info?
