Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops II reveal spoilt by Activision

It's not like everybody on the planet that gives a shit doesn't already know that tonight's scheduled Call of Duty 'world reveal' is going to be Black Ops 2, but just to be extra sure that we're all in the loop mega-publisher Activision has kindly decided to leak the news itself by hitting the 'Post To Internet' button on its official Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 site. Which is very considerate of Activision but does make its own much-hyped reveal a little less revealy.

You can visit the site for yourself at http://callofduty.com/uk/en/blackops2/, but if you can't be arsed with all the effort that clicking and browsing entails, we'll happily tell you about the noteworthy bits here. This is what the site looks like:

The links to the reveal trailer aren't active yet, but if you click 'Watch now' it takes you to the YouTube player with this still image:

Above: That's a helicopter

Also, the words 'Los Ange' can clearly be seen in the thumbnail image for the reveal trailer:

Above: And lots of exploding buildings

A description of the game on the site reads like so:

Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty®: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.

The game's box-art looks like this:

Finally, the site also confirms the recently rumoured Call of Duty: Blacks Ops II release date as 13 November 2012.

That's pretty much it for now. Hopefully the reveal trailer will give us a much better idea of what Black Ops II will be about. Obviously we know it's going to be about shooting stuff, but it'll be good to know what or who we're going to be shooting and other such contextual things of that nature.

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
