Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day is here! Here's everything you need to know

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day event is here! It runs from April 1 to April 12, with the rabbit Zipper T. Bunny setting you various tasks to achieve over the 12 day period. To participate all you need to do is make sure you've downloaded the day one update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons - which you should have automatically - and start playing.

What you'll need to do first is look out for Zipper T. Bunny, who you can see above. He's the cute, yet rather unnerving, fellow who's in charge of the Bunny Day event. He'll be loitering somewhere on your island, and has hidden eggs literally everywhere for you to find. There are special Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day recipes to unlock too. If you find all the Bunny Day-themed recipes before April 12, you'll receive a special present from Zipper T. Bunny.

All of these recipes are crafted using the Animal Crossing: New Horizons eggs that you can find hidden around the island. There are six types in total:

  • Earth Eggs
  • Leaf Eggs
  • Sky Eggs
  • Stone Eggs
  • Water Eggs
  • Wood Eggs

You find these by hitting rocks or trees, fishing up medium-sized shadows from any water source, find them growing on trees, floating by balloons and dug up from the ground.

If you'd like to make them all before Bunny Day's over and your supply of eggs dries up, you should get hunting ASAP.

Once Bunny Day is over, Animal Crossing fans won't need to wait much longer for the next special occasion. Nintendo revealed that the new Earth Day event will arrive as part of the next Animal Crossing: New Horizons update, and it will also add some other new features. The teaser image from the trailer included a cartoon image of Leif, so it looks like everybody's favorite gardening sloth from Animal Crossing: New Leaf will return at least for the duration of the event.

Check out our Animal Crossing: New Horizon tips for some pointers before you get too deep into island life.
