Battlefield 3 developer seeks community feedback for weapon tweaks

Battlefield 3's lead gameplay designer Alan Kertz is bringing some big changes to the game's weapon accessory system, but not without some feedback from players. For the past week, the DICE developer has been working with Reddit members to generate a list of Battlefield 3 accessory tweaks which may or may not appear in a future patch.

“I'm working on a retweak of the accessories in the game currently, as I feel the player is limited in choice due to a few accessories being the clear winners in almost all categories,” he explained in a recent post, emphasizing, “Right now this is preliminary, I've already asked for feedback on different attachments, and there's several good threads here and on Battlelog that discuss the weapons. Again, I'm not promising this will go live, and I'm not promising there will be an update, I'm looking for feedback and a discussion.”

Kertz's post contains a slew of suggested changes including those that would balance out the Foregrip attachment for different weapons, reduce recoil and dispersion when using the Bipod, increase the accuracy of the suppressor in all instances, and ramp up the max range and accuracy for the Heavy Barrel. Possible upgrades to the Flash Suppressor and Target Pointer are also noted.

Those who wish to add their two-cents to Kertz's list can do so at the Reddit thread, or via Kurtz Twitter.
