Blue Wii coming to UK and Europe next month

The Wii is reaching the end of its lifespan, which means it’s going through some changes that includes being repackaged with new coloring and features. We already saw proof of it during Gamescom this year, as Nintendo revealed an updated Wii for Europe that cut things like the vertical stand and GameCube compatibility. Following that trend Nintendo revealed another Wii revision, this time a light blue Wii that comes with Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympics Games.

Currently only announced for UK and Europe, the system with the blue color (or colour?) is also based on the recent hardware revision and comes with a matching blue Wii Remote on top of the Mario & Sonic game. Though the price hasn’t been revealed yet, you have to admit that the blue hue is a nice, relaxing color. But will this come to the US, or will the bundle that includes a game set in London remain on the other side of the Atlantic?

Meanwhile, watch this trailer for Mario & Sonic and marvel at just how weird it is to see those iconic characters traveling London.
