A financial report published by Capcom this week gives Street Fighter X Tekken a release date of “TBA.” However, within the same report, Capcom announced that it's confident that it can, not just to deliver the fighting crossover, but sell approximately 2 million units by the end of March 2012.
Meanwhile, Tekken X Street Fighter, Namco's complementary brawler, is more of an unknown contender. Katsuhiro Harada, boss of the Tekken series (yep, even higher up than Heihachi), says he still hasn't started work on the title. With a digital Tekken movie and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 well underway, Harada's not yet had time to fully consider the free reign he commands over Capcom's signature pugilists: “If they go down the Dead or Alive route and Chun-Li comes out rather sexy, we can’t say anything,” joked Capcom's Yoshinori Ono last month.

But then, that liberty goes both ways – so if 2012 sees Jin Kazama delivering taunts like, “I'm too busy to fight you right now! Try in a few months!” you'll know why.
