Darksiders II: Abyssal Forge DLC lands October 30

The latest DLC for Darksiders II will drop just in time for what has to be Death's favorite holiday. Publisher THQ today announced Abyssal Forge will go live on PC, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live on October 30, with a European PSN release following a day later.

The $10 pack which THQ says is "tailored towards the most competent Darksiders II players" brings Death to the swampy Shadow Lands. There he will overcome two new dungeons and several new enemy types in the quest for new secrets and ever more loot.

Oh yeah, he'll also try to shut down the eponymous Abyssal Forge, a hellish creation which draws power from the abyss to craft legendary weapons (ka-ching!). The only problem is the living foundry has been going by itself for a few eons and in that time has constructed a tremendous, Skynet-style legion of foes to all creation.

Death will definitely have to do something about that. His job's busy enough as is, what with the apocalypse and all.

It's not clear how or when this content will appear for Wii U players, who get the Argul's Tomb DLC bundled in with the game when it launches on November 18. We've reached out to THQ for clarification and will update this article with any response.
