Dave Bautista recreated Casino Royale torture scene for Spectre audition
A couple of years ago you'd be forgiven for not knowing who Dave Bautista was. It wasn't until 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy that the former professional wrestler hit Hollywood's radar and he can now add a Bond film to his résumé. But how did the WWE star end up getting a part opposite Daniel Craig in the latest 007 action movie?
We sat down with the actor to talk all things Spectre, as Bautista revealed what he had to do to win the role of ass-kicking henchman, Mr. Hinx. "I do this audition where I recreated scene from Casino Royale..." said Bautista. "It was the torture scene with Le Chiffre. The one where he has Bond seated in the chair with no bottom..."
In case you've forgotten the torture scene Bautista is describing (despite the impressive hand gestures...), check out the notorious clip from Casino Royale below...
Be warned, it's nasty!
Co-starring Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux and Monica Bellucci, Spectre opens in UK cinemas today and the US November 6 2015.
