The Elder Scrolls Online Beginners' Guide

Welcome once again boys, gals and orcs to the wide world of Tamriel. We’ve stopped an Imperial Battlemage with a lust for power, created the paradoxical Warp in the West, murdered a variety of living gods to bring peace to Morrowind, stopped a massive Daedric Invasion of Tamriel and finally fended off the return of the Dragons to the world.

Where do we go from here? What grand battle awaits us next? Well, come with us back into the end of the Second Age of Tamriel. The Empire has just thrown off the rule of the traitorous Akaviri potentates who took bloody rule of the Empire by murdering the Imperial family. Unfortunately with that loss comes a time of great upheaval known as the Interregnum. War has erupted between the various factions across Tamriel and the only way that this will finally end is when a new ruler sits on the throne in Cyrodiil.

This guide will do what it can to help players get acquainted with the mechanics of starting up a new character. We will discuss the various races, their pros and con’s, the various classes and how to link all of these together to make a powerful warrior. We’ll also discuss equipment, the various crafting skills and which of the various guilds would be best for your character to join.

However, do keep in mind that this guide is essentially for new players to give them an idea how to proceed from the get go if they’re nervous about the size, depth and customizability of The Elder Scrolls Online. There are some wild things you can do in ESO when you have experience with the game so if you have a great idea or something you see in the guide you’d like to expand upon, please comment and share.
