The first Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer might be released with Star Wars: Rogue One - like you needed another reason to see it
What’s better than going to see Star Wars: Rogue One in theatres? How about possibly getting a first taste of New York’s favourite webslinger in action? My Spidey senses are tingling.
Comicbook.com are reporting that the Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer will hit theatres on December 16 and will be attached to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, although that is unconfirmed as of writing.
The UK sees the Star Wars spin-off released on December 15, a day earlier than the US. The Brits may get to feast our eyes on the next movie in the Star Wars franchise 24 hours before their American cousins, but I really hope everyone can get a sneak peek at the webhead up on the big screen.
Expect the Homecoming trailer to be released on the, ahem, web (sorry) before December 16 but it gives us even more motivation to queue up at midnight for Rogue One – as if we needed another reason.
Of course, Marvel and Star Wars properties are both owned by Disney so the marketing collaboration doesn’t come as a surprise – expect to see more cross-promotional trailer team-ups in the new future. Maybe a Star Wars 8 trailer before next year’s Thor: Ragnarok? I wouldn’t say no!
Directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, and Mads Mikkelsen, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is released in the UK on December 15 and the US on December 16.
