At a Fortnite panel during San Diego Comic Con, Epic Games revealed some massive news about their upcoming PC-exclusive game. Firstly, yeah, PC-exclusive - Epic wants to keep updating it with new content regularly, and said that PC is just better for that.

Second, and possibly more massive, is the news that it'll be running on Unreal Engine 4. In fact, it'll be the first UE4 game. Some images and videos were shown off, and definitely showed a nice visual leap from the current generation.

More news on the game is coming in hot, so stay tuned for additional information!

I'll need to see more of the game to know whether I'd play it. Not much is known right? Seems to be Zombie Survival based, but beyond that... It being PC exclusive warms the cockles of my heart though <3

They really picked a good first game to show off UE4's capabilities.

Or you could put out a complete game the first time so there is no need for updates as often but what I am gathering is the word 'content' which basically means IAP BS that all games are now going to push on people. You can't do that easily with MS and Sony because they require a cut from all the sales of course. PC can have there 'games as a service' I want to enjoy not doing that until the new consoles come out and kill the industry also.

Beautiful! The first UE4 game on the system where Epic got their name out - the PC.
