Hip-hop artist honors Aerith in Final Fantasy VII rap

Aerith may have eaten sword over a decade ago, but the legend of Final Fantasy VII's most famous flower girl has lived on in countless fan tributes. Few, however, are as professionally produced or just plain fun to crack out at a party as US recording artist Random's newest hip-hop homage:

Entitled Aerith, this is just one of many Final Fantasy themed tracks that will be on Random's upcoming album, Final Fantasy VII, due for release next month. Random (aka Mega Ran) has proven his gaming musical mettle in the past with the release of 2007's “Mega Ran” - an album composed of 8-bit audio samples from the Mega Man series, and one which Random received full licensing support from Capcom to produce.

Since Mega Ran's release, Random (real name: Raheem Jarbo), has since been featured in Nintendo Power and Blender Magazine, and has performed at Comic Con. This year, Random also partnered with producer K-Murdock on a old-school NES and SNES tribute album called Forever Famicom.

You can read about Random's unique career on his personalwebsite, and find the full lyrics to Aerith plus upcoming album info at hismusic page.
