Jeanne d'Arc announced for the PSP

Yesterday Sony Computer Entertainment, America Inc. announced that the Final Fantasy Tactics-esque Jeanne d'Arc (could you tell it's about Joan of Arc?) will be arriving on the PSP in August. Claiming to be "inspired by" the life of the famous female crusader, the game intends to blend fantastical elements into the historical story.

The combat will be turn-based and played out on chess-board like layouts. Players will be able to combine the skills of the 14 acquirable characters into power-multiplied attacks. The cinematics have a distinctive anime style to them, so the story may have some nice visual flair to it. Theofficial site doesn't have too much info, but check back here for updates soon.

My new approach to play all games on Hard mode straight off the bat has proven satisfying. Sure there is some frustration, but I've decided it's the lesser of two evils when weighed against the boredom of easiness that Normal difficulty has become in the era of casual gaming.
