Karen Gillan teases Nebulas return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
One of the many aspects that made 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy such a likeable hit was Karen Gillan's aggressive turn as the blue-skinned Nebula. The actress famously shaved her hair for the role, and though she won't be repeating the feat for Vol. 2, she'll definitely be back in blue for the sequel. Check out her tweet below...

Gillan left a memorable impression as Nebula in Guardians, but we're hoping she gets more to do in the sequel. The sisters subplot between Nebula and Zoe Saldana's Gamora was largely sidelined in the first film, and as it was one of the more interesting story threads of the film it would be great if Gunn and co took a deeper dive into the complexities of that relationship. With the introduction of Star-Lord's father confirmed for Vol. 2, it wouldn't be surprising if family turned out to be a big theme of the film, and a focus on the aforementioned female characters could yield compelling results.
Directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit UK cinemas on April 28, 2017 and open in US theatres on May 5, 2017.
