LEGO Lord of the Rings game revealed
One franchise to rule them all
According to anew reporttoday, packaging materials have been found inside the new line of LEGO Lord of the Rings toy sets (sent out to early reviewers) that show a LEGO Lord of the Rings video game project is in the works.
Traveller's Tales will be the developer on the project, as they have been for all the previous iterations of the LEGO game series, which includes the LEGO-branded iterations of Batman, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Rock Band, Ninjago, Harry Potter, and others.
The sighting of the packaging materials confirms the speculation that arose after an online listing for the game showed up on UK retailer ShopTo (it was subsequently taken down, but Google Cache snared the image.)
LEGO Batman 2 was similarly revealed by packaging materials in advance LEGO sets. It is expected that Warner Bros. will announce more about the game in a few weeks at E3.
