Mark Millar addresses possible Fantastic Four and X-Men crossovers
"I expect we will see more of that"
Comic writer and 20th Century Fox consultant Mark Millar has been talking about future Fantastic Four and X-Men movies, and the possibility of them crossing over.
When asked by SFX magazine if there was ever a chance of those two super-teams colliding on the big screen, the comic guru answered:
“Without question I think you have to see some of these guys showing up in each other’s movies.
"I think the most exciting thing in superhero movies, until The Avengers came along, was when Nick Fury showed up in Iron Man . Even though it was a guy with an eye patch it was really cool – and I expect we will see more of that.”
Which isn't a definite confirmation, but it's certainly exciting to hear Fox's chief consultant acknowledging that those ideas are being chucked around the office.
The Fantastic Four reboot is currently in pre-production with Chronicle director Josh Trank calling the shots. No word yet on the cast, but if Chronicle 's anything to go by, we should be in for a treat.
The next X-Men film, X-Men: Days Of Future Past , opens in the UK on 22 May 2014.
Fantastic Four opens on 5 March 2015.
