Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater demo coming this week

"Snake? Snake?! Snaaaaaaaaaaaaake?" ... is just one of the things you may be screaming into your 3DS this week, as Nintendo has confirmed a free demo for Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater will slither its way onto the Nintendo eShop sometime over the next few days.

The free demo is courtesy of Konami and Nintendo, and is said to contain a “taste of the classic stealth action, bespoke Nintendo 3DS controls and the famous cut scenes that only Hideo Kojima could make."

GR bespoke of the Metal Gear Solid 3's controls in our hands-on review of the 3DS's Circle Pad Pro, and earlier during our E3 2011 preview. You too can bespeak your opinions of the full game when it releases on February 21 in North America, and March 8 in the UK and Japan.

Along with the Metal Gear Solid 3D demo, Nintendo also announced a handful of other goodies out on the eShop this week. Highlights include the Game Boy classic Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, the undead DSiWare title GO Series: Undead Storm, and a WiiWare demo of Aya and the Cubes of Light. New Nintendo Videos, such as the second installment of Kirby's animated “Right back at Ya!” series and the next episode of Circus 3D, will also be available.
