Metal Gear Solid PSP rumours abound
[PSP] Squad-based shoot out with playable Big Boss
Monday 8 May 2006
Hideo Kojima, the man behind the Metal Gear series, has revealed that the next Metal Gear PSP game will be a team-based shooter set after Snake Eater in the early 1970s, according to reports of the developer's latest podcast.
Confirming the game as an action shooter, instead of the turn-based play of Acid, he also hinted that Big Boss himself would appear as a playable character alongside a WiFi multiplayer mode. Hideo is also reported to have said that graphically the game should be pretty close to other PS2 MGS games, although with a slightly lower polygon count.
We'll be heading over to see what Konami and Kojima himself have to say about Metal Gear Solid on PSP, and the PS3 game, just as soon as E3 opens later this week.
