Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Cheats

The consistently engrossing atmosphere and crackling sound effects blanket the excessive amount of recycled tunnel-diving, alien-squashing gameplay.

    Ammo Saving

During gameplay, anwhere, but not recommended for use against bosses

When you look at the Light/Dark/Annihilator beam entry, it will say that it will take up 5 ammo if charged for a more superior shot, but actually it takes up 6 ammo. Why? Do the math. If you charge up the normal way, it'll fire ONE NORMAL SHOT FIRST, and THEN charge, which takes up 6 ammo. The trick is to select the Power beam and then, while charged, switch to another beam. It WON'T fire a normal shot, but will charge fisrt! Another tricks that while changing beams, hold the A button and that can save precious seconds!

How to beat the power bomb Guardian

    Undertemple

To destroy the boss, you must actiate four Bomb Slots. To start, zoom along the Spider Ball that leads up the wall. The rest of the tracks in pieces. Use bombs to reach the track above you, release the R Button then press it again to reach the track below you. This quick sequence will let you drop off the track and attach to another one.

The boss begins firing more Power Bombs at the end of the battle nears, so start with the slot on the far-left and far-right sides, and work your way in. The Inglets will cause promblems for you as well, but they're vulnerable to the boss's attacks. If you run low on engery, shoot or boost through Inglets on the ground for pickups. Once the boss is defeated, head back up the Spider Bal Track and look for a piece that leads to the top of the room. Follow that and drop onto the ledge to get the Power Bombs, then use them on the yellow blast shield at the end of the line to clear the exit.

    Bosses (Not all bosses)

Dark Spider (not it's real name)

This boss is SOOOO easy. He just shoots beams at u and charges at u. When a portal thing appears, wait about a second or so then dash to the left or right. U do the same thing when he's going to charge at u. His beams might get a little bit faster but he's still easy. Repeat this until it's dead.

    Missle Trooper (optional)

This guys the same as the other Troopers, but he's more powerful. Just shoot him, do charge shots, and missles and he'll be dead in no time.

    Guardian Jumper

This guy is kind of the same as the dark spider, but a little bit harder. This guy jumps around a lot. He invincible when he's about to jump, but u can shoot him when he's on the cliff. He might shoot u or he might jump back down. If he is going to shoot u, dodge (dash) it. If u get hit u will be knocked out of the light field. If u do, get back in as quick as possible. He will also charge at u. Just dash out of the way but don't go out of the light field. When u get near to killing him, everything he does will get faster, so don't use charge shots or missles, just shoot him as fast as u can!

    Dark Samus

This guy is fast! But he don't shoot u until he stops, THAT'S YOUR CHANCE TO GET HIM WITH EVEYTHING U GOT! She waits a sec before she shoots u normaly, or she uses a charge shot. If she just shoots u, hide behind one of the pillars. If she uses a charge shot, dash away when she shoots it and shoot her as much u can. After, she will start speeding around again. Sometimes she will shoot u while she's speeding around. She might dash at u too. So be ready to dash out of the way. After ur half way done, she will power up. One new trick she has is a very powerful charge shot. If u think u gonna be a chicken and hide behind the pillar, it won't work. IT BLASTS RIGHT THROUGH IT! So remember to get her with eveything u got when she stops.

*NOTE* Sometime after, metroids will escape from their cages and attack u in the rooms they were in. If one gets on to u, turn into a ball and use a bomb.

    Armorbis

U want to save your light ammo for later. It will keep burrowing into the ground and jumping back out. Just keep shooting, use charge shots and missles on it until it's armor is off. Then keep shooting it's mouth until it comes off. When it's inhaling air, turn into a morph ball and get sucked up. Then use all 3 bombs inside it. It will grab the black ball and smash it, then it dies. Now u goin against 2 of them! Make sure when they jump from the ground, they don't land on u. Just shoot their armor, do one worm first then the other. Once it's armor is off, go for it's mouth. If u don't destroy it in time it will turn the light crystal into a dark crystal. The light field will go away. So get your Light Beam and shoot the dark crystal. It will be light crystal again. Now u have the light field. Now go for the worm again and shoot it's mouth until it's destroyed. Go into it as a ball and use all 3 bombs in it. It will grab the big black ball in the middle and smash it. Repeat this until it's dead.

How To Beat Boost Guardian and Grapple Guardian

OK, first off, the Boost Guardian is by far the toughest miniboss I have ever faced (had to try him at least 3 times) but once you get the trick he's nothing more than an overgrown spider with speed. He'll appear in front of you at some point in the game, then run off in a Morph Ball hole. Follow him, and that's when he starts to run around an shooting and slashing at you. Shoot him with a Charge of Light Beam until he starts to be orange; that's the tricky part. He'll transform into a big Morph Ball and uses the Boost always. When he stops, put a Bomb beside it and he'll transform into a sort of puddle (this also works when he crashes into one of those pillars, releasing yellow energy). It'll always follow you except when you lay three Bombs behind you (when he flashes yellow, it's to say you are damaging him, but not actually damaging him). Then he'll transform back in normal Ing mode, and that's when you hit him with the Charge Light Beam. Repeat those steps a couple of times and he's dead meat.

Next off is the Grapple Guradian. He may look tough, but he's the easiest boss yet. The trick is that he turns all the time and can seriously damage you if you're not careful. Just shoot him once in the eye with the Charge Power Beam so that he gets stunned (not for long though) and then let the Power Beam speak to its backside- literally. You have to shoot him on the carapace to inflict real damage. Also watch out for the grapple beam he shoots- if you're caught, shoot him in the eye to get out. He might also catch the light pillars and bang is head: that's your cue to let it rip! After his carapace breaks off, though, he gets electrical, so watch out for that grapple!! Repeat these steps for victory!

    The Light Suit

Ok, you know that if you played the last game that phazon takes your health down really fast. When you go in the dark dimension of Aether you lose health just as fast as phazon when you leave a protective bubble. As you may know if you looked in the game guide in the game case you eventually get a Dark Suit that decreases the amount of damage you get on Dark Aether. BUT you still get damaged and it pisses you off right? A really good thing is that after you restore the energy to aii three temples you get the Light Suit! The Light Suit you don't get damaged by the air or water on Dark Aether! It also lets you teleport at temples.

    How to beat Amorbis

Amorbis can be pretty annoying at first but once you know how to beat him he's actually just buttercup. When he starts to jump in and out of the ground STAY AWAY FROM HIM! As he's flying through the air shoot him rapidly with your beam(don't use the missiles, save for this next phase.)Now, when you completely destroy his shell he will attach himself to this huge ball in the middle of the arena. Stay in one the safe zones and shoot him with your missiles until this helmet thing on his head breaks. Then he will start sucking everything up. When this happens turn into Morph Ball and let him suck you up. When you're in him lay a bomb to hurt him. Now you go back to the first phase, except now there's TWO worms. Just keep on repeating the same thing on Amorbis until he drops dead and you receive your prize, the Dark Suit!

How to beat Quadraxis, the boss of Sanctuary Fortress

This guy is evil. He will at first try shoot you and the smash you. There will be four glowing orbs on each of his feet. Use the Boost Ball to destroy these. Once you have done this target one of his leg joints and shoot like crazy with missiles until it breaks. The red orbs will appear again so break these and shoot another of his joints until it breaks. Once you have destroyed the legs his body will shut down and his head will start flying around. You can't hurt it because of the shield so walk up to the body and equip the Echo Visor. There should be an antenna on the body transmitting tactics to the head. Destroy to stun the head. Using the Echo Visor, locate and destroy one of the three antennas on his head. The shield will activate again so repeat the process until all three antennas are destroyed. Now you can shoot but it won't do any damage. Shoot him until you stun him and he's flying around his body. On each of the legs there will be a Spider Ball track. Get to the end of the track and charge up a boost. When his head flies by boost and use the Spider Ball technique to attach magnetically to his head. Find one of two holes on his head and drop a bomb in it. You will fall off and he will attack you. Stun him and bomb the other hole to destroy him. In the ruins of his head you will find the Annihilator Beam.
