In Las Vegas, there is a shortcut that leads through a building (instead of around the building) to the hotel. In the second lap, collect a spritzer before you make a left turn, boost into the building in front of the starting line having control stick pulled down.

N64 | Submitted by PAULCAR PARTS
IN ORDER TO GET THE 5TH GRAND PRIX YOU MUST FIND ALL THE STOLEN CAR PARTS HIDDEN IN A LEVEL IN GRAND PRIX MODE IN EVERY GRAND PRIX.
1. INDIANAPOLIS
ONCE YOU START OFF YOU GO TO WHERE YOU GO INTO THE TUNNEL. ONCE YOU EXIT YOU MAKE A SHARP LEFT AND I MEAN SHARP AND YOU WILL FIND THE FIRST CAR PART.
2.PHILADELPHIA
THIS ONE IS EASY TO FIND OK. YOU START OFF AND GO TO WHERE THE TRACK GOES INTO A BIG SHIP THAT LOOK A LITTLE LIKE AN OCEAN LINER. ANYWAY YOU GO INTO THE SHIP AND TURN RIGHT AND BEHIND SOME BOXES AND YOU WILL FIND THE NEXT CAR PART.
3.CHICAGO
THIS ONE ISN'T HARD BUT ITS HARD TO EXPLAIN SO I AM GOING TO MAKE IT SHORT. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GO TO WHERE THE GROUND SPLITS INTO AN UPPER AND A LOWER SECTION. GO PAST THAT AND GO DOWN THE STEEP DROP AND INSTEAD OF TURNING LEFT GO STRAIGHT AND DOWN THE RAMP. KEEP ON GOING DOWN THE TUNNEL AND YOU SHOULD FIND THE CAR PART.
4.MALIBU
THIS ONE YOU MIGHT HAVE A LITTLE TROUBLE BUT I WOULD NOT SAY ITS VERY HARD. OK YOU START OFF AND GO STRAIGHT TO THE CLIFF THAT TOUCHES THE WATER AND YOU WILL FIND THE PASSAGE AND THE LAST CAR PART.
AFTER DOING THIS YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RACE THE FRANTIC FINAL AND TRUST ME ITS HARD. YOU CAN ONLY GET THE PARTS IN GRAND PRIX MODE. IT DOES NOT MATTER IN WHAT ORDER.

N64 | Submitted by koinersGrand Canyon Shortcut
In the Grand Canyon track, in the second area with the red and white tires, before you hit the arrow boost, make a sharp turn left and you will go into a jagged tunnel with sharp corners. If you hit a wall in the tunnel the shortcut is no good. Be sure to pick up speed because there is dirt at the end of the shortcut. You will emerge at the canyon

On the Las Vegas track, just before leaving the city for the desert, build up speed before the left turn. During the left turn, turn wide and hit the sloped edge of the sidewalk on the right side of the road. Have the control stick pulled down and you will jump over the long, flat building. This shortcut will not work in the Amatuer Setting.
