The Need for Speed reboot from EA and Ghost Games, due to burn rubber on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 3, is all about earning respect from your fellow racers, as well as the fast, furious underground culture that surrounds them. If you're Vin Diesel, that usually means performing impossible stunts and taking out crime syndicates. The rest of us will have things a bit easier thanks to NFS' "five ways to play" system, detailed in a new trailer.
This game is obscenely pretty thanks to running on the Frostbite 3 engine (as seen in Star Wars Battlefront and every other recent EA game), so make any excuse to watch it in motion. As for the first-person full-motion video, full of over-the-top acting (the bouncer motioning to the club, the excited kid with a red Solo cup, the Monster-guzzling Bad Hair Club, etc), well … they may not be Oscar-worthy, but they're still fun in a let's-not-take-this-too-seriously kind of way. After all, this is a game where feedback on your races comes via tweets; 'u got mad skills' indeed.
