Star Wars Battlefront's unbalanced Walker Assault will be fixed says DICE
One thing that really popped out of the recent Star Wars Battlefront beta was just how hard it was to win Walker Assault as a Rebel. It's possible, but 'blind throw at a basketball hoop' levels of possible. DICE has taken note and is looking into the issue. Hopefully things will play out more evenly in the final game.
Here's lead multiplayer designer Dennis Brännvall and community manager Mathew Everett on the subject:
@Focalin Nope! Its a balancing issue within the Beta.October 13, 2015
@yeye97BF4 yeah it's too tough. We'll make changes based on the feedback and dataOctober 9, 2015
@KulpritGaming asymmetric modes are tricky and risky but potentially awesome , that's why we want beta test help.October 9, 2015
@KulpritGaming I was being sarcastic, sorry ☺ believe or not, we're actually gathering gameplay data from the beta and will balance thingsOctober 9, 2015
The official Star Wars Battlefront Twitter account has confirmed that there will be a Walker Assault map on every location too, so it's a big part of the game. But then what are betas for if not to find the problems and fix them.
@Ninami2525 There will be one map on each of the four planets that support Walker Assault.October 12, 2015
