New Super Mario Bros U gameplay - Quickplay

Shares

One of the three big first party games Nintendo showcased during its E3 2012 press conference, New Super Mario Bros U is the next entry in the extremely high-selling franchise. This 2D Mario adventure has new power-ups like the flying squirrel suit and returning friends like Baby Yoshi. We got to play a bit more of it today and you can be part of that experience by watching this video of our playthrough...

If you want more insight into the game, read our E3 hands-on preview and then read why one GR editor thinks Mario U isn't at all like a Mario game..

Having a person on the GamePad makes this game a whole lot easier it seems. Fine by me, since I wasn't a fan of all of the huge chaos caused by multiple people pushing each other around. It's like a lifeline.

That either go 2 ways, easy, or irritating and annoying if your friend doesnt know what he's doing. You can make a game out of this, try to finish a level while your friend/Sibling tries to screw you over, should be interestng...

What would you liken the touch screen most too?? Is it very resistive, ala the 3DS and DS touch screens? Or is it more like an Iphone, heat sensitive one? Or perhaps a combination of some sorts?? (Really hoping it's not resistive, although it seems that way what with the stylus and all).
