New Wii bundle for $130

The Wii is getting even cheaper in time for the holidays, Nintendo announced today, with a price less than half the cheapest Wii U bundle. The latest pack will include a black Wii, matching Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk, and Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, all for $130.

Nintendo said the bundle is popping up in retail outlets now and is expected to be widely available by October 28. The bundle includes both Wii Sports games on a single disc and will replace the current $150 package, which ships with a black console, remote, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

The price drop brings the Wii (and two of its most successful games) to just above half its launch price of $250 in November 2006. Meanwhile, Wii U will retail for either $300 or $350, depending on desired storage and a packed-in copy of Nintendo Land.
