  Home goal

  Go to game play and type in HOMEGOAL in capital letters and the home team will get a goal. You do the same process for away goal but you just type in AWAYGOAL

  Mega Boost

  First go into quick game, but u have to pick the Dallas Stars as your team to do this cheat code. When you are on the ice skating towards your opponents net keep hitting the square bottom as fast as you can then the player will go five times the speed as a normal player.

  Easy Slap Shot Goals

  When you have the puck and your player is a big shooter, Using speed boost, Speed around the goal and when your right in front of the goal shoot a 100+ mph slap shot and it should go in about 85% of the time! If it doesn't go in it will knock the goalie over and you can grab it back and shoot it in before he gets back up!

  Get a 2min roughing penalty while the other fighter gets 5min penalty

  When you are in the fight do not punch the other guy just let him beat you up. You will get a 2 minute penalty while the other guy gets a 5 minute penalty.

  Easy Scoring

  To get easy goals in NHL 2001, simply put the game difficulty to beginner or rookie. Put your shot on manual and once your in the game, shoot from center ice by pressing up and square, the goalie will not be able to save it and you will be put up on the score board. *note* you can perform this numerous times*

  Put in these names in the create a player and answer yews to use their stats. For defense use the names Chris Pronger or Sandis Ozolinsh. For Goalie use Ed Belfour or Patrick Roy or Dominik Hasek. For Forwards use Jaromir Jagr or Peter Forsberg.

  Superstar Created Player

  Go create a player and enter his name as your favorite Nhler. A menu will popup and ask you if you want to make your player like the pro in the game. Say yes. Don't touch anything like the birth date or his height or weight. Go and customize his skills then go back and change his name to whoever you want. You end up with an awesome clone of the real thing. Some times the announcer says the nhler's name that you copied from but that isn't a big deal, just turn the announcers off. If you want some help with good players to copy use these:
  Right wing=Jaromir Jagr
  Left wing=Keith Tkachuk
  Center=Mike Modano
  Left Defense=Chris Pronger
  Right Defense=Derek Morris
  Goalie= Curtis Joesph
  A really good rookie is Scott Gomez.Play around with this cheat have some strong power forwards, speedsters, snipers and solid defense.Create a super team and go for the cup!
