Game of Thrones season 7 is promising a lot: more battles, longer episodes and, maybe, just maybe a more stabby Sansa Stark. Sophie Turner, the actress who plays the eldest Stark child, has revealed she wants to get a bit more hands-on, in the most brutal way possible.
In an interview with Time Magazine, Sophie Turner didn’t hold back when it came to outlining the wishes for her character’s future in the coming season after getting revenge on Ramsay Bolton, “I’m sure it was intoxicating for her [having Ramsay killed], that feeling she’d been craving for so long, and it was intoxicating for me. I loved it! I want more kills!”
Turner doesn’t stop there, oh no. She’s going full-on dream scenario for Sansa, and part of me wants this to be true (the other part wants Queen Dany, so yeah)
“[M]y hope is that she finds her family again and the Starks are strong again — the remaining Starks! We have Jon and Sansa at Winterfell, so this is a good start,” Turner explains, “ And I hope that they find each other again and become one of the most powerful families in the Seven Kingdoms again! Ideally, I’d like her to get her revenge on Cersei and many of the others who have done her wrong.”
Sansa Stark is an odd one in Thrones. Often overlooked in favour of her Stark siblings, and lacking the cunning of a Cersei or the desire of a Daenerys so it would be nice to see her come to the fore in the final set of episodes, as she’s been a metaphorical punching bag for far too long now. Here’s hoping she can get her hands dirty as we roll towards the oncoming winter.
