Prototype 2 gets more pre-order freebies

Activision and Radical Entertainment are increasing their Prototype 2 pre-order efforts with two new bonuses for early adopters. Starting now, players who reserve a copy of the murderific sequel from Amazon will receive the first issue of Dark Horse's Prototype 2 comic, “The Anchor”; while those who pre-order from Best Buy will be gifted with an exclusive steelbook case, on top of the retailer's Hardened Steel Vehicle Armor upgrade incentive.

The pre-order announcement coincided with the release of two new gameplay trailers showcasing Heller's ability to hijack vehicles on the fly. Check out the super-short videos below:

The free comic and steelcase join a growing list of Prototype 2 pre-order perks. In addition to GameStop's Bio-Bomb Butt Kicker giveaway, all pre-orderers will receive an upgrade to the RADNET Edition, which includes an in-game portal that will eventually offer 55 pieces of post-launch DLC.

Prototype 2 reduces the PS3 and Xbox 360 to a bloody pulp on April 24 in North America, and April 27 in the UK. A PC version is slated for July 24. Read our latest hands-on with the tentacled sequel here.
