PES 2017 player faces vs real life comparison video
Realistic player faces have become something fans insist upon across all sports games – so every year Konami and EA do their utmost to one-up each other on the football licenses front. It’s the latter who usually win out, but PES 2017 is making efforts to narrow the gap, as you can see from the above video. After sampling the game earlier this week, GR+ takes an up-close-and-personal look at some of the player likenesses on show; we’ll let you decide on whether they're better or worse than those found in FIFA 17.
PES 2017 is released for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on September 13.

I'm GamesRadar's sports editor, and obsessed with NFL, WWE, MLB, AEW, and occasionally things that don't have a three-letter acronym – such as Chvrches, Bill Bryson, and Streets Of Rage 4. (All the Streets Of Rage games, actually.) Even after three decades I still have a soft spot for Euro Boss on the Amstrad CPC 464+.
