Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus will launch on November 12 in the US and November 13 in Europe. Billed as an epilogue to the R&C Future saga (Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty, and A Crack in Time), the PS3 game will be available in-stores and online priced at €29.99 / $29.99.
The story sees Ratchet and Clank lost in an abandoned sector of deep space, where they uncover an inter-dimensional event that threatens the universe. Reflecting its budget price, Into the Nexus will be a relatively short game, Insomniac senior community manager James Stevenson told the PlayStation Blog.
”The truth is, we relished this ability to tie a bow on the PS3 era of Ratchet with a shorter title," he said. "We have a lot of stories to tell, some longer, some shorter. This one felt just right. It’s a very polished self-contained return to the Ratchet adventures of yore. It’s impactful, too; filled with planet-hopping, guns blazing, joke-cracking Ratchet & Clank, and events happen here that will change Ratchet forever. Think of it as a small epic.”
Into the Nexus pre-order bonuses were also confirmed today. Select retailers will be offering Ratchet’s Pyronox Armor, a lightweight durable suit which offers five per cent damage-reduction. Additionally, Amazon’s US arm is offering pre-order customers a pack of R&C-themed PlayStation Home content said to value roughly $30.
