Red Dead Redemption - first look trailer

Shares

Back in the day, before GTA: Vice City, San Andreas and GTA IV, we used to play a game where we'd try and guess where the next GTA would be set. As well as locational suggestions like Tokyo, South America and Europe, we also considered different time-frames - Victorian London, the 1920s Gangster scene. But one scenario seemed to fit the best - GTA: Wild West.

And while Rockstar will rightly distance the forthcoming Red Dead Redemption from their biggest series, asking you to judge it on its own merit, watching this first gameplay trailer the similarities are glaringly obvious, somehow vindicating our earlier predictions. Open-world gameplay, shootin', lootin' and cahootin'? It's GTA with leather chaps and a spittoon - and don't it look purdy.

I can't wait i loved the first one. And i also had fun with call of juarez. This looks better than both of them though.

I am such a sucker for western flicks, but a western videogame, now that's just love waiting to happen. I hope its better than GUN and Call of Juarez (both were ok).

I hope they include whores in the bars. Its just not the frontier without bar whores.

Oh my God, I'm so excited for this game. I adore RAGE and Euphoria. And multiplayer would be above fantastic.

This seems worse than GTA somehow because of the lack of tech in the wild west. I don't even know what this game's story is

OMG OMG OMG!! First real Western since Call Of Juarez! (Which wasn't TOO great) Must buy, and keep 'em rolling!!

gunfights with a western game are cooler than pretty much anything, aren't they? Well, except for maybe a John Woo movie... nah, still got to give the nod to westerns. Why the hell aren't there more games like this? This game might just be the kick in the pants this genre needs.

God Damn! Hope they don't wait as long to release it on PC as they did with GTA:IV.

I hope it keeps the combo money system from the last one

I loved both Red Dead Revolver and GUN but I gotta say that GUN was better because it was a genuine evolution for the whole market of Western games. It wasn't as cartoony or 'candy' as Red Dead was, but I gotta say that this game looks totally badass and the graphics look amazing. Finally a very realistic Western game. And just look at the muscles on the horses, too! Damn... that's realistic

Red dead revolver was one of my favorite games this looks so tight

Please don't ever compare this game to GTA again.
