While Space Bust-A-Move is okay, it doesn’t do anything particularly new. And when a series has been running for a few thousand years, it needs a shot in the arm now and then.

The extra modes are pretty cool. Amass enough points and you can unlock challenges away from the tenuously structured Story mode. And Wi-Fi or download play allows four people to pop space bubbles at once. Although this is compatible with the DS dial/paddle controller thingy, the lack of a GBA slot on the DSi (and the general lack of people owning the dial thing) means buttons are the way to go.
