Almost every ship has a "blind spot" where their weapons cant hit you, usually look toward the back end of the ships. Also when attacking a starship make sure that you destroy all of the fighters that are attacking you because on several occasions in order to keep in the blind spots of the capital ships you will have to remain almost completely motionless making it easy for enemy fighters to attack you

This is kind of hard but here it goes. Start off by making a suicide run on the forward saucer section of the ship. Pitch up and straff till you get to the warp nacelles. (I find it best to fire phasers and torps at the same time it works wonders, this basically means hold down A and B all this time and hold down R for your speed.) Now this is the tricky part. You have reached the warp nacelles whilst firing your phasers and torps like there's no tomorrow. get behind the shuttle bay at least 10km out and keep the strategy as you strafed the saucer except your not going to move. Your going to very your speed staying 5 to 10km away from the shuttle bay firing using reverse and forward (L and R). Although you can do the same thing except for when you get to the shuttle bay go out to 15 to 20kms and open fire on and only on their warp nacelles. This is harder because now your farther away and less chance of hitting because of distance and of a small target yet you don't have to worry about the enemy starships phasers punching holes in your shields. Now when you have fighters on your back like in the level "The Way of All Empires" take out the enemy starfighters and in between the waves open fire the same way as before on the enemy starships. Keyword ships not fighters. Well ensign(s)/cadet(s)(I don't know how bad your are) there is your crash course on taking on Starships, and for those of you who know Japanese yes I am an Admiral and yes I am a youkai (ignore that americans and non anime fans)
