Tales of Grace F confirmed for North American 2012 release, Tales of the Abyss for 3DS also incoming

Namco Bandai has confirmed the arrival of two new Tales games for North American retail: Tales of Graces F for the PS3 and Tales of the Abyss for the 3DS. Alright, so they'renew(ish).

Tales of Graces F, slated for 2012, is the latest of the Tales titles, and represents the first appearance for the series on western PS3s. It stars Asbel Lhant and his ragtag group of fashionable adventures who are caught between a three-way war for global domination. The game is being developed by Namco Tales Studios, and will feature a new battle system that will allow players to swap weapons and switch up their attack strategy on the fly depending on the battle conditions.

Due out later this year, Tales of the Abyss is an updated port of the PS2 entry which, like every other updated port coming for the 3DS, claims to make full use of the handheld's 3D power, as well as offer enhanced duel screen functionality. The game followsthe ousted aristocrat Luke fon Fabre who is forced to leave his sheltered life behind and embark on a journey that will ultimately decide the fate of the world.

News of the games' western releases brokeafter Namco Bandai initially confirmed their European arrival at the Level Up event in Dubai. Now that we know both are going global(ish), the true question is do you care?
