Third Metro: Last Light gameplay trailer is on-rails, off the wall

Decimating sentry camps and infiltrating Reich rallies is cool and all, but up until now the gameplay footage we've seen for Metro: Last Light has been suspiciously lacking in actual metro trains. Thankfully, the latest pre-alpha gameplay demo seeks to rectify this oversight by showing us one of the sequel's high-stakes on-rails sequences.

This is the third Metro: Last Light gameplay trailer to be plucked from THQ's private E3 showing and released for the unwashed masses. It depicts heroes Artyom and Khan pursuing an enemy train in hopes of saving (and/or silencing?) a prisoner held within it. Watch thefirstandsecondtrailers for more on the game's shooting, running and stealth mechanics, or read our hands-on E3 impressionshere.

Metro: Last Light is being developed by 4a-games for release on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC sometime in 2012.
