There's still a few months to wait until it hits the big screen, but Super Mario Galaxy movie merch pre-orders have already landed, and Yoshi fans are eating good.
As the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie marks the first appearance of the cute green fella in the cinema universe (if you ignore that Super Mario Bros 1993 exists for a second), there's a lot of Yoshi toys to go around. The biggest showstopper of the set is undoubtedly the Hatchin' Yoshi Interactive Toy available for $49.88 at Walmart or £59.99 (Smyths Toys), which takes inspiration from the popular Hatchimals line with a Super Mario twist. Just like the games, the interactive Yoshi can 'hatch' from his speckled egg, which can be later used as a display for everyone's favorite green dino. I can already see it becoming one of the best toys in 2026.
The egg-cellent collectibles don't stop there. There's also a Yoshi Egg and Bowser Castle Playset and everything from new plushies of Mario and Luigi and Princess Peach, to action figures featuring Bowser Jr and Princess Rosalina. Yoshi and friends are launching on February 20 at retailers like Walmart and Smyths Toys. Meanwhile, you have plenty of time to start saving your coins for the adorable Hatchin' Yoshi as he's not expected to hatch until the same day as the upcoming movie on April 1, 2026.
Hatchin' Yoshi Interactive Toy Egg | $49.88 at Walmart
The Hatchin' Yoshi toy features a talking interactive Yoshi who will hatch from his very own egg. Once free, the adorable dino can say over 50 sounds and phrases, and can interact with sounds and movements like a cute Super Mario-themed Furby, but with less hair and cuter eyes.
UK: £59.99 at Smyths Toys
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie – Yoshi Egg Playset | $29.97 at Walmart
This adorable 9-inch Yoshi egg-shaped toy opens up to reveal a tiny double-sided playset. On one side, you have a museum that includes a crumbling dinosaur skeleton, and on the other, there's a warp pipe that takes kids and collectors to the Dry Outpost as seen in the movie trailers.
UK: $29.99 at Smyths Toys
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - 5 Inch Action Figure Series – Yoshi | $19.97 at Walmart
Nintendo and Jakks have included a 5-inch action figure line with the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie toy-line, which includes this Yoshi figure. Yoshi has 20 points of articulation and comes with accessories, including a cute little New York City hat and sunglasses. If you grab the Mario figure, you get a cute Luma accessory instead.

Hot Wheels Remote Control Mario | Check stock at Walmart
If you've ever wanted to make Mario pop a wheelie outside of Mario Kart, you're in luck. This Hot Wheels-branded remote control Mario comes with a dedicated "pop a wheelie" button, and better yet, you can keep him powered up with the accompanying charging cable - no batteries needed.
UK: £44.99 at Smyths Toys
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie – 9 Inch Plush Figure – Mario | $14.97 at Walmart
It wouldn't be a new Mario merch drop without some plushies. For the sequel, you can grab a 9-inch cuddly Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach, which have cuddly soft buddies and hard plastic 3D heads.
Luigi: $14.97 at Walmart
Princess Peach: $14.97 at Walmart
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - Luigi Star Launcher toy | $6.97 at Walmart
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie merch line also includes a set of spring-loaded star launcher toys, so you can propel your favorite characters through space and time just like in the original game. The first wave features Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Bowser Jr, and Wonder Bowser Jr.

Luigi: $6.97 at Walmart
Yoshi: $6.97 at Walmart
UK: $6.99 at Smyths Toys
Super Mario Galaxy Movie – Deluxe Bowser Castle Playset | $39.97 at Walmart
This 12-inch playset includes a replica of Bowser's shrunken Castle as seen in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie trailer, and no detail has been spared. This set includes a 1.5-inch Bowser figure and heat-reveal paintings, which feels entirely on brand for Bowser's fiery abode.
UK: £39.99 at Smyths Toys
Super Mario Galaxy Movie – Gateway Galaxy Diorama Playset | $19.97 at Walmart
If you or your kids would prefer a tiny Peach and Toad instead, the Gateway Galaxy playset provides just that. The 1.5-inch figures can move around the translucent pipes, and it even features a surprise cameo from ROB the robot.
UK: Check stock at Smyths Toys
Super Mario Galaxy Movie – Luma Star Yo-Yos | Check stock at Walmart
The first wave of Luma toys included in the lineup includes a set of out-of-this-world Yo-Yos. Each one is based on a different colored Luma and features a unique, cute expression. The best bit? They glow in the dark too!
UK: £4.99 at Smyths Toys
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie merch has only dropped at Walmart and Smyths Toys so far. However, just like the huge range of merch available for the first animated Super Mario Movie, it will likely start to appear at other big retailers online and in-store closer to the movie's release date.
As a heads up, what you can and can't pre-order so far will depend on where you're based. 'Hatchin' Yoshi Interactive Toy Eg' pre-orders first appeared in the UK, and it took a day for it to be available for US fans. Additional parts of the line, like the Hot Wheels Remote Control Mario, also landed at retailers after the first wave of goodies, so you might have to be patient before you grab the whole lot. But don't fret, I'll let you know as soon as more egg-citing pre-orders roll out.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
