At Sony's E3 2013 press conference, indies were out in force. To show that it's heavily invested in the indie scene, Sony rattled off a long list of games that will be coming to the PS4 as console exclusives. The first among them: Transistor, from Bastion creators Supergiant Games, which will be coming to the PS4 early next year.
The hits just kept on coming. Artistic roguelike Don't Starve, the retro shooter Mercenary Kings, the bizarrely goofy Octodad: Dadliest Catch, isometric shooter-fighter-hybrid Secret Ponchos, horrifying first-person fleeing simulator Outlast, the HD remake Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New N' Tasty!, top-down space shooter Galaxy, and a zombie adventure game will all be coming to the PS4 within the year. It's enough indie goodness to make your head spin. As an added bonus, Don't Starve, Outlast, and Secret Ponchos will all be given to PS Plus members for free over the months following the PS4's release, giving you more incentive to dive into the PS4's impressive roster.
We'll be playing as much as we can of all these indie standouts, so be sure to check back for more of our impressions.
