The Walking Dead See first footage of gameplay in new video
Check out the first in-game trailer for Telltales episodic adventure
Since it was first announced we'd been waiting to finally see The Walking Dead game in action. Based on the popular comic book and TV series of the same name, adventure game developer Telltale has been working hard on the episodic adventure and released the first video that shows actual gameplay. Check it out:
This follows last week's haunting Walking Dead teaser trailer and goes for more bloodshed than implied horror, though it definitely seems to fit the spirit of the comic series. Comic fans will also probably be comforted to see the series creator and writer Robert Kirkman introduce it, as his bearded visage lets us know everything is going to be okay (at least until the zombies get here). Here's how Telltale describes the game:
"An untold story following convicted criminal Lee Everett; a man given a second chance at life in a world gone to hell. With danger around every corner, protecting an orphaned girl named Clementine may offer him redemption in a world of true horror. Experience events, meet people and visit locations foreshadowing the story of Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes in this extension of Robert Kirkman's award-winning universe. This is a 5 part game of Adventure Horror, where the decisions that you make will have profound and lasting consequences."
The first of five episodes hits XBLA, PSN, PC and Mac in late April with each episode costing $4.99 (aka 400 MS points).
