Warner Bros planning to follow Arkham City with new DC Comics superhero game

This morning following the US release of Batman: Arkham City, the LA times did a sizeable story on Warner Bros Interactive’s success this year, which other than Arkham City includes the multimillion-selling Mortal Kombat reboot. Near the end of the article, the company teased what lies in the future for them including a Hobbit game based on the upcoming film, a Lego Batman sequel and a mysterious new game featuring another DC Comics hero.

Above: Maybe one of these guys?

The interview with WBI CEEO Martin Tremblay says, “game featuring a superhero from Warner's DC Comics unit that Tremblay wouldn't name.“ Leaving aside the long ago rumored Suicide Squad game, the alleged hero could be any of the thousands DC owns. Our first thoughts turn to one of the main pantheon of heroes: Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, even Aquaman. And then of course there’s the quite possible movie tie-in for 2013’s Superman film, but that’s too boringly obvious to contemplate. Maybe they’ll just go completely out of left field and make an Animal Man game. What hero do you think deserves the Arkham City treatment?
