Win the Ultimate Gaming Prize by simply visiting a website

Shares

These days everyone wants something for nothing. So by offering a 100% legal and absolutely not likely to see you going to prison for stealing a bag of rice from your local Co-op way of getting free stuff, we're basically operating as a public service.

We've teamed up with GamesMaster, Golden Joysticks and Alienware (yay, official awards sponsor!) to offer a prize that will avert the need for looting and pillaging Curry’s in the run up to Ch****mas. The desirable items are below:

GamesMaster Ultimate Gaming Prize

1 x M14x Alienware Laptop
Gaming Consoles
Including:
1 x PlayStation Vita (as near to UK launch as possible)
1 x 3DS
Golden Joystick Award nominated games
Gaming peripherals

Plus 4 x runner up prizes

1 x M14x Alienware Laptop
Golden Joystick Award nominated games

How to win? It's simple, and you don't need to talk to anyone, come up with a stupid tie-breaker or give us an awkward hug as you leave. You don't even have to go on a poxy holiday, attend an event or some other inconvenient social gathering as part of the prize. You'll just receive boxes in the post, conveniently wrapped in case you just decide to eBay the lot for bread tokens.

Head over to Golden Joysticks and register votes in all 14 categories of the GamesMaster Golden Joystick Awards. Then wait and see if your name is one of five lucky winners (1 Ultimate and 4 Runners-up) picked in the prize draw - you can't say easier than that.

Open to US and UK residents, Terms and Conditions do apply so don't pretend you weren't warned.

Honestly guys, I don't think you guys know how frustrating it is to go to a site and then find out your not a "Deluxe" member because of where you live. If I lived a hundred miles north in northern Ireland, great. If not.......maybe this site isn't for you foreign types. And you do it every damn time you have a competition. Here's how it usually goes - Whats on gamesradar today? - Wow a competition, I'll click that. - Great, a PC or DLC or whatever. - MIDDLE FINGER FROM GAMESRADAR. I'm seriously thinking of setting up a facebook group "Gamesradars - International site - Local Competitions".

Pretty much anything that offers an Alienware Laptop for a prize, I'm in!

Awesome! Let me vote... ...Okay, let's register the votes... ...The hell? "You must vote in at least one category to register your votes." ::tableflip::

"Unless otherwise stated, each Competition is open to all residents of Great Britain and the United States (excluding residents of Rhode Island, New York, Florida and Puerto Rico) who are 18 years and over" ...WHAT!? Why arent people in New York allowed to be in this!? D=

Damn, I was partway through doing this again (I did this on my previous account which was lost in the migration), only to realize this was a USA/UK only deal ~_~

Why does Christmas get censored in the opening? I'm not necessarily a fan of religion, but this PC crap has gotten out of hand. I still don't understand the Golden Joystick. People have a hard time remembering games from earlier in the same year, but these games are old enough to have sequels in some cases.
  • bring back the community sgmnt - September 5, 2011 1:26 p.m.

    automatic censoring of Christ maybe?
  • Japanjack - September 5, 2011 4:49 p.m.

    Obviously not hahahaha.
  • Spybreak8 - September 5, 2011 12:32 p.m.

Yeah I did vote already. It was hard in some categories, like how can you compare these two, and no brainers in a few.
  • Limbo - September 5, 2011 12:11 p.m.

Metal Gear Solid: Rising was on the one to watch page. I thought that game fell off the face of the Earth, but perhaps not. I didn't vote for it anyways.

I believe the UK has stricter rules about how you can run competitions than in the USA, so as this is a UK competition it exceeds the US guidelines? Not sure about Ireland or Canadia though...
  • enigma776 - September 5, 2011 10:54 a.m.

So let me get this straight all the US competitions can not be entered by us in the UK but as soon as we get one it can be entered by everyone how does that work. This site is a joke with competitions. Screw you Future Publishing Long live PCZ

"So and so" of the year awards shouldn't be voted on/decided until January, when all the games of the year have had a chance to come out, be reviewed, and be played by the masses. It annoys me to no end knowing that the mammoth amount of games coming out from September through December this year will be excluded from 2011 game of the year awards. Also, what the hell is up with this site's voting? Donkey Kong Country Returns as an Action/Adventure? Ocarina of Time 3d as an RPG?
  • Jordo141 - September 5, 2011 10:31 a.m.

Why can't countries like Canada of the Republic of Ireland be eligible? WE BORDER THE FRIGGIN UK/USA!!!11 Crock of bullcrap/rant
