14 orgasmic posters land online for Nymphomaniac

Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac has released a raft of risqué character posters online, featuring all of the primary cast in what we’ll describe as a range of “climactic” poses.

They’re all pretty graphic (as graphic as facial expressions can get, anyway), and it’s fair to say that some members emerge in a more favourable light than others.

So while Sophie Kennedy Clark, Shia LaBeouf and Uma Thurman boast a kind of post-coital glow, Connie Nielsen, Jamie Bell and Christian Slater aren't shown in the most flattering light. And then there’s Stellan Skarsgård...

The film tells the story of Joe, a self-proclaimed nymphomaniac who tells her colourful life story to a kindly old bachelor after he finds her in a bad way in a dark alley.

Directed by von Trier and co-starring Charlotte Gainsbourg, Willem Dafoe and Stacy Martin, Nymphomaniac will open in the UK in 2014, with a release date to be confirmed.

Take a look at the new posters, below...
