24 Hours of Halo 3

Although we're able to enjoy ourselves in the exclusive Friends and Family Beta, the readers who were expecting to get access through Crackdown begin to grow restless... then angry. Meanwhile, Brett's obsession with the Oddball game mode begins...

GamesRadarBrett (12:06 PM): We're almost seven hours into this and the game is actually getting more fun as time wears on. We're in a comfortable groove at this point, really kicking ass and also having ours handed to us. It's a pretty fair balance. Yeah it feels just like Halo 1-2 and the new equipment is hit-or-miss, but the bottom line is - it's hecka fun. Side note - when I walk away, the ambient noise I hear isn't whirring of air conditioners or footsteps, it's the sound of my energy shield rehcharging. Kinda like when you see Tetris blocks after playing too long? Yeah I hear the shield everywhere now. Uh oh.

GamesRadarBrett (12:34 PM): We've been playing since 5am (using our pre-existing Beta code, not Crackdown btw) and we've YET to play Oddball. So much Team Slayer. SO MUCH. There's a separate search criteria for Team Slayer, so why should it be part of the Team Skirmish search? Super lame. I want a game of Oddball, it's probably my favorite type. It's over waaay too fast as well, making its infrequency all the more annoying.

I enjoy sunshine, the company of kittens and turning frowns upside down. I am also a fan of sarcasm. Let's be friends!
