30 Biggest Movie Characters
Thinking super size...
Engineers Prometheus (2012)
The Character: Supposedly the creators of man on Earth, the Engineers are basically giant space rangers who hop from planet to planet creating life along the way.
They’re also seemingly responsible for the formidable xenomorph…
Size: 8-9 ft
If They Were Tiny: It would suggest that all life on Earth originated with leprechauns.
Alien Queen Aliens (1986)
The Character: Talk about big momma.
This majestic beast is mother to the nest of Aliens that Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and co go up against on LV-426.
Size: 15 ft
If They Were Tiny : ‘Ant Queen’ would be more accurate than ‘Alien Queen’.
Rancor Star Wars: Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi (1983)
The Character: A meat-eating reptomammal native to planet Dathomir.
Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) makes him into a giant kebab.
Size: 16 ft (though according to the wider Wars -verse, they can grow to 62 ft)
If They Were Tiny: Those razor talons would be easier to trim.
Ants Them! (1954)
The Character: So deadly that they don’t even have a name, the ‘Them!’ just sort of resemble giant, mutated ants.
They see humans as a threat to their domination of Earth.
Size: 20 ft
If They Were Tiny: Well, they’d just be regular ants, wouldn’t they?
Less deadly but just as annoying.
Alien Life Forms Monsters (2010)
The Characters: Vaguely octopus-like in appearance, these invading aliens glow in the dark and are weirdly beautiful.
That’s when they’re not causing all-out chaos, of course, as they make their way across the US.
Size: 20 ft (approx)
If They Were Tiny: They would probably be considered more of a pest than a threat.
T-Rex Jurassic Park (1993)
The Character: Snappy-jawed king of the dinosaurs, resurrected from beyond extinction as a tourist attraction.
Size: 21 ft
If They Were Tiny: He’d be even more deadly – how do you tell he’s coming if you don’t have ripples in a glass of water as a warning?

BFG The BFG (1989)
The Character: His initials stand for the Big Friendly Giant (obviously), and that’s exactly what this fellow is – a huge but soft-hearted freak of nature who hates his cannibalistic brethren.
Size: 24 ft (though the other giants are around 50 ft)
If They Were Tiny: He’d be called the LFT (the Little Friendly Titch).
Balrog Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring (2001)
The Character: A horned demon “of shadow and flame”, the Balrog is unleashed in the Dwarf city of Moria, where it attempts to take down the Fellowship.
It has a big whip.
Size: 25 ft
If They Were Tiny: Gandalf’s shriek of “You shall not pass!” would have made it stop, blink, then turn tail.
King Kong King Kong (2005)
The Character: A giant ape with the kind of temper you usually only see in toddlers.
He’s feared by the natives on Skull Island, who serve up sacrifices to appease that formidable temper.
Size: 25 ft
If They Were Tiny: He wouldn’t be that much of a threat to Skull Island, meaning Carl (Jack Black) and his crew would never have gone there, and Kong would never have befriended Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts).
Tanker Bug Starship Troopers (1997)
The Character: Merciless killing machines or peaceful creatures provoked into war by invading humans?
It’s never really clear what the motives of these space bugs are. What is clear – they’re really goddamn ugly.
Size: 26 ft
If They Were Tiny: You could probably take them down with a can of bug spray.
