343 just more than doubled the number of Forge mode maps you can save
Forge Mode only launched last month, but if you're a prolific enough builder or tester, Halo 5's original save file limit of 40 maps or game variants might have proved a problem by now. 343 is on the case. In a tweet last night, the developer announced that that limit had more than doubled with a new update:
We've just deployed an update to increase the amount of Halo 5 Map & Game Variants that you can save from 40 each to 100 each. Forge on!January 7, 2016
Judging by the replies, there's far more the fans are demanding after this (a small selection: Doubles playlists, map vetoes, Oddball, multiplayer NPCs, and, er, "the rest of the campaign"), but 343's been pretty good on free updates since the game's release in October, with monthly content packs including everything from Forge mode itself to dozens of new REQ items. We're sure there will be far sexier additions than this little tweak coming in January's free pack.
