16. All The RAGE
Rockstar stated last year at the launch of Table Tennis that the game was released as a demo of its new, bespoke graphics tool. With EA now owning the rights to RenderWare, it was always on the cards that Rockstar would develop its own tech. So what can RAGE offer? Well, Rockstar have already proved that it will be a richer environment, lifted by brighter, more vivid colors from the Liberty City of PS2's GTA III. Dynamic lighting across the city's buildings reinvigorates the world and offers a more realistic feel.
17. Seasonal Changes
Will RAGE make everything beautiful? We're hoping this will mean Rockstar will stretch its artistic palette and introduce seasonal changes to the GTA IV weather system. We've had thunderstorms and sultry sunsets, so why not leaf-covered autumnal mornings and blizzards?
Liberty City smothered in a sheet of crisp snow would look stunning.
20. Ferry Terminal
Ferries were crucial to GTA III. They became a great way to skip across the pond while we waited for the Callahan Bridge to be rebuilt. If Liberty City is now a more realistically mapped sprawl, then the Liberty Ferry Terminal will be a vital way to get about the districts of the city. Plus, it gives Rockstar the chance to wow gamers with the RAGE engine's incredible water effects.
