50 Strangest Censored Movie Lines

Problem Child (1990)

Original Line: "I don't wear second-hand clothes, and I won't have a second-hand kid!"

Edited Version: "I don't wear second-hand clothes, and I wanna have my own kid!"

Weird one this. It seems to have been changed to save the feelings of adopted children, but the edited version is hardly kinder, is it?

The Mask (1994)

Original Line : "Margaret! You son of a bitch!"

Edited Version: "Margaret! You son of a witch!"

Ah yes, that well-known insult inspired by the Salem witch trials.

The Silence Of The Lambs (1991)

Original Line: "I can smell your cunt."

Edited Version:
"I can smell your scent."

Mostly strange because Hannibal tells Clarice he can't smell her 'scent', and then goes on to do just that, recognising that she sometimes wears L'Air du Temps.

(But not today.)

Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)

Original Line: “Thank you, Daniel, that is very good to know. But if staying here means working within 10 yards of you, frankly, I'd rather have a job wiping Saddam Hussein's arse.”

Edited Version: “Thank you, Daniel, that is very good to know. But if staying here means working within 10 yards of you, frankly, I'd rather have a job washing Saddam Hussein's car.”

That Bridget, she'll do anything.

Desperado (1995)

Original Line: “What the fuck?!”

Edited Version: “What the frijoles?!”

Which actually means “What the beans?!”

Half Baked (1998)

Original Line: “You ever suck some dick for marijuana?”

Edited Version:
“Have you ever sucked feet for weed?”

Never Been Kissed (1999)

Original Line: "You don't think I can grab a bull's balls?"

Edited Version: "You don't think I can grab a bull's buttons?"

Er. Huh?

Old School (2003)

Original Line: “Cock... balls...”

Edited Version: “Cotton balls.”

The whole point is that Will Ferrell can swear all he wants because the kid's ears are covered in this scene, which makes his decision to say “cotton balls” all the more mysterious.

Dazed & Confused (1993)

Original Line: “Let's go smoke a joint, man. On the 50-fucking-yard line!”

Edited Version: “Let's go do it Mr. Green Bean style on the 50 yard line!”

Disturbingly, something a stoner would legitimately say.

The Breakfast Club (1985)

Original Line: “Do you slip her the hot beef injection?”

Edited Version: “Do you slip her the hot wild affection?”
