50 Worst Movie Ex-Girlfriends

The Bride Kill Bill Vol 1 (2003)

The Ex-Girlfriend: The Bride (Uma Thurman), who was shot and left for dead by her assassin boyfriend Bill (David Carradine) when she attempts to marry another man.

Her Post-Break-Up-Behaviour: Quite rightly, The Bride’s out to get revenge.

Which means killing every single member of Bill’s Deadly Viper Assassination Squad before taking out Bill himself.

Boy is she going to make him pay.

Shelby Homecoming (2009)

The Ex-Girlfriend: Shelby (Mischa Barton) is obsessed with her ex-boyfriend Mike (Matt Long), even though he has a shiny new girlfriend in the form of Elizabeth (Jessica Stroup).

Her Post-Break-Up-Behaviour: Kissing Mike at every opportunity, then befriending Elizabeth with a dark agenda.

She then mows Elizabeth down with her car and kidnaps her…

Winnie Hocus Pocus (1993)

The Ex-Girlfriend: Witch Winnie (Bette Midler), who discovers that beau Billy Butcherson (Doug Jones) has been cheating on him.

She dumps him, quite literally – she sews his mouth shut and poisons him so that he ends up dead in the ground.

Her Post-Break-Up-Behaviour: Trying to kill children.

She even has the cheek to raise William from the dead and use him as a puppet to track down her prey.

What an absolute witch.

Beth Better Off Dead (1985)

The Ex-Girlfriend: High-schooler Beth (Amanda Wyss), who dumps poor old Lane Myer (John Cusack).

Her Post-Break-Up-Behaviour: Beth jumps right from dating Lane to going out with the dumb, meat-headed bully who is captain of the ski team.

Now that’s cold.

Evelyn The Shape Of Things (2003)

The Ex-Girlfriend: Evelyn (Rachel Weisz), who attempts to make object-of-her-affection Adam Sorenson (Paul Rudd) into a better, more attractive man – all for her final art thesis.

Her Post-Break-Up-Behaviour: After Evelyn has essentially ‘broken up’ with Adam during her presentation (i.e. she reveals that it’s been a fake all along – even the engagement), she shows zero remorse.

No, not even for forcing him to undergo plastic surgery.

Jill Roberts Scream 4 (2011)

The Ex-Girlfriend: Innocent-seeming teen Jill (Emma Roberts) just wants her ex-boyfriend Trevor (Nico Tortorella) to leave her alone, except he keeps popping up all over the place.

Is he the new Ghostface killer?

Her Post-Break-Up-Behaviour: (SPOILER) In short, no he’s not, Jill is, and she’s going to pin all the murders on her puppy-eyed ex-beau.

Anna Closer (2004)

The Ex-Girlfriend: Anna (Julia Roberts) cheats on her man Larry (Clive Owen) with Dan (Jude Law).

When he finds out, they end things.

Her Post-Break-Up-Behaviour: After living with Dan for a while, Anna meets Larry to sign divorce papers – and cheats on Dan with him.

When Dan finds out, he ends things…

Annie Annie Hall (1977)

The Ex-Girlfriend: Annie (Diane Keaton), who has an on-off relationship with Alvy (Woody Allen) that seems doomed to failure.

Her Post-Break-Up-Behaviou r: Annie craps all over the ‘Boyfriend Contract’ by demanding that Alvy come over and kill a spider for her – even though they’ve broken up.

She then lets them have a second go at the relationship before shattering his heart for good.

Michelle Swingers (1996)

The Ex-Girlfriend: We never really see her (apart from in pictures) and we only hear her on the phone, but Michelle breaks poor Mike’s (Jon Favreau) heart when she dumps him.

Her Post-Break-Up-Behaviour: Calling Mike suggesting they get back together.

What a douche.

Happily, Mike hangs up on her.

You go, Mike.

Ally Whats Your Number? (2011)

The Ex-Girlfriend: Ally (Anna Faris) decides that one of her ex-boyfriends must be ‘The One’, only she let them get away, so she decides to track them all down to rekindle one of her old relationships.

Her Post-Break-Up-Behaviour: Er, tracking down her exes in the hope that one of them is really ‘The One’.

Would you want any of your exes turning up on your doorstep?
