In the new game, players can compete in Lightcycle races (what else would you expect?) Fire cannons, dodge your opponents, and deploy Arc and Cloak power-ups to earn your keep in the "Grid."
"We’re extremely proud of the new, premium app, TRON: Legacy, and think it builds on all of the excitement around the film as it hits theaters," said Disney Mobile marketing manager Stephen Saiz in a statement.
There are 16 different courses to choose from, which makes its price tag pretty damn reasonable. But wait, there's more! Beginning next week, you'll be able to enter special competitions to win all sorts of prizes.
Kicking off on Christmas Day, the Tron Mobile Grid Campionship will allow players from all over the country to compete for high scores and win everything from a 3D TV entertainment system to Tron memoribilia.
In other Tron mobile gaming news, Disney's recently acquired mobile publisher Tapulous has updated its Tap Tap Revenge 3 game with a new music track from Tron: Legacy. Owners of the game can download it for free.
One final note for our UK readers - in looking at the app store comments, it appears the game isn't quite working yet on your side of the Atlantic. You might consider waiting until more positive comments show up before plunking down your dollar.
Of course, be sure to stop playing all those Tron games and silence your cell phone completely when you actually head into the theater to watch the movie.
