A Field In England gets a trailer: watch now
Take a trip into the past with Sightseers director Ben Wheatley
A Field In England , the experimental new film from Ben Wheatley, has released a first trailer online.
The film - which is set to be released simultaneously in cinemas, on DVD and on TV - follows a group of Civil War deserters, who flee battle in search of buried treasure, and chance upon a mushroom field.
They’re not just any mushrooms though, and it’s not long before their psychedelic effects take hold.
Co-starring Wheatley regular Michael Smiley (in what looks like another chilling performance) with Reece Shearsmith and Julian Barratt, Field looks set to be one of 2013’s most challenging and trippy.

A Field In England gets a multi-platform release on 5 July 2013, in cinemas, on free TV, DVD and video-on-demand.
