A WonderCon 2010 travelogue
We spent the weekend at San Fran’s premier comic convention, now see what we saw
We’re long time comic nerds, so we’ve seen our fair share of conventions. We’ve walked through a sea of not so fresh dorks many times at these flea markets for nerds and loved every minute of it. But as the years move forward, more and more games and gaming related junk to clutter our homes have been invading the formerly comic exclusive events. The encouraging trend continued as we descended on the Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco, CA to check out WonderCon last weekend.

For those not in the know, WonderCon is a sister convention to the mammoth San Diego Comic-Con, and while WonderCon isn’t as big as that one, it’s been steadily grown into one of the premier conventions in the US. Several game publishers came this year, including Capcom, Activision, and Ubisoft with varied amounts of games to show off. On top of that there was the usual bevy of costumed players (cosplayers). So get ready to submerge in geekiness as we give you a quick rundown of this awesome convention.
Big thanks to Cheryll Del Rosario, Brett Elston, Chris Antista and Charlie Barratt for their help.
