It isn't enough that the poor wolfie has got itself snagged in a badger trap. Or that the game suggests you HELP it in big letters. Something dark inside your heart says, don't simply release it, no, put it out of its misery.
So you line up the laser sighting and pump one into his head in the name of "research." What you don't know at this point is wolfie is actually quite useful as an ally later on in the game when it comes to fighting the giant. So luckily he doesn't die - the shot frees him from the trap and he belts off into the woods. But does he come back and help you after you've tried to ruthlessly cull him? We'll leave that for you to find out, Mr Shoot First, Think Later.
Above: Put the dog out of its misery? Or help it? Put the dog out of its misery? Or help it? Put the dog out of its misery? Or help it? BLAMMO!
